Sometimes all you need is a damn good taco smothered with queso and green chili and a variety of so many other delicious things. Luckily in Denver we have a lot of options… but nothing is quite like Pinches.
Pinche Tacos was originally a taco truck, and now they’ve got a taqueria as well. Located in City Park West, Pinche Tacos (where you can eat sitting down, as they say) has got a full bar with great music and a fab atmosphere.
Liz and I went one night when Happy Hour was all night. Why? More like why not?! While sipping our delicious creatively crafted tequila cocktails, we balled at the menu of tacos trying to figure out which ones to get.
Although every taco looked delicious, we went with queso a la plancha, camaron a la parilla and asada. Since they are served à la carte, you can just choose whichever mix you want. I think it’s the best way to order tacos! (Tacos are priced between $2.95 and $4.50 each).
This particular night we were sitting at the bar, so we could watch the dudes make the tacos, which was so exciting. How they melt the cheese was so intriguing…
Meanwhile, I’m dreaming of green chili back here in Paris. Next time I’m in the mile high city, I plan to pop by their taco truck to eat standing up.
Do you know what the name of the restaurant actually means in Spanish? Hehe.
