One of the May Yelp Elite events was held a the snazzy restaurant near République, Le Cabinet de Sa Majesté. This resto is owned by he folks who run Les Fils à Maman and Le Petit Resto Dans La Prairie (ring a bell?)
This evening was finishing off a beautifully sunny day, which was long-fully waited for by the Parisians. The staff opened up the windows and the fresh spring air oozed it. It was perfection.
What I loved about this restaurant as soon as I walked in was it’s personality. They had vintage shelves left and right with brass and metal touches on the walls. Frames holding insects or mirrors, maps and randomness, with exposed stones on one side… not to mention beautiful lights up around the bar. I was in awe of their mix-matching chairs.
Elodie & Lali had some darn clever Eliter gifts this time; the socks & temporary tattoos are personal favorites of mine. Even the Yelp accessories up for grabs were in adorable buckets and tins on the tables throughout the restaurant. C’était vraiment trop chou.
As you can see, the menu that night had quite the list of treats. I had tasted nothing like their cheesecake every before, and they boast about the sablé Petits Lu Nutella et Banane as it is a house specialty. Whenever the food came out on their big wooden plaques, everyone’s cameras and iPhones formed a paparazzi around them. Priceless.
