One of my favorite parts of the mountains near Denver are the little treasures like this drive-thru breakfast burrito stand. And let me tell you, Lynda Lu’s burritos sure are delicious.
One week until epic views, delicious brews and familiar faces.
Denver has got some French spunk. There are actually quite a few French restaurants… I never really realized just how many until after I left.
The restaurant Le Central will always have a place in my heart.
It’s actually where I had one of my first jobs when I was 16. As this was prior to me moving to France for a year of high school, my French skills were decent I didn’t have many opportunities to exchange in the language. I totally had a field day answering the phone “Bonjour, Le Central” really emphasizing that I could handle the French “r”. I remember when French people would walk in I was so nervous to speak with them. I have a vivid memory of when my AP French class went here for lunch together for a field trip my senior year of high school. We were required to order in French (there were French waiters there at the time) and practice certain vocabulary. It seems like another life ago, before I had the knowledge I have now of the language.
When I’m in Denver, my mom and I like to come here for lunch. Traditions are nice.
Le Central is the ‘taste of Provence’ in Denver. Their menu changes daily, and are known in the mile high city for their wonderful moules-frites lunch and weekend brunch. Not to mention that they make their baguettes in-house.
Reservations are recommended.
