It’s so easy to forget about the beauty of this state. Gosh, it’s so charming. It’s always hard to say goodbye to those mountains.
Back to Paris I will be. See you soon, Denver.

One of my favorite things about being in the states is the accessibility of Mac N Cheese and pickles.
These ones particularly are at Steuben’s in Denver’s uptown district.

Nothing like being home for a little while. Denver always surprises me. Boy has this city got personality. My friends Liz, Rachel and Allie and Jay have showed me the best places to eat that I’ve missed out on while in Paris, and I cannot wait to try even more.
My favorites so far are: Duo, The Hornet, Sweet Action, and Little Man Ice Cream and I can’t wait to try Linger tomorrow night.
Where are your favorite Denver eats?

I’m on my way home for some big family events.
So excited to see the Rockies.
And all of the familiar faces.
It’s been a pinch too long.
Isn’t it refreshing to go back to your roots?
TGIF!
Get ready for icing!
Préparez-vous pour le glaçage!
If you’re ever around Denver, it’s worth driving a pinch south to Aspen Grove to get a taste of Gigi’s. I wanted to do a little post on the Denver area lately as I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic. I met up with some friends ce soir who are in the Big Apple, and one of them was going through all of her pictures from her recent trip to Denver… driving along the highways, curving through the Rockies, city scapes from Red Rocks Amphitheatre…. I just missed it so much today.
So here is an ode to nostalgia, and the towns you know from your memories.
My favorite thing about Gigi’s is how gosh darned photogenic the cupcakes are. I have never seen such a unique twist….. and such a large dosage of delicious creamy icing! It’s pure bliss for icing lovers. The flavors have spunk, and brand out from the classics (give “Champagne” a try… or “Strawberry Short Cake”!).
Nom nom nom nom nom…
Stop in for a bite, or two. It’s just one of those places you gotta go when you’re in your hometown. Do you have one of those places?
