I’ve always felt so strongly about what I surround myself with at home. I care about the space in which I live, and want it to be filled with snippets of my personality, hobbies and dreams and reflect who I am.

After two amazing weeks home in Denver, it is refreshing to be back at home with all of my stuff. And of course it’s so fun to integrate all of my new little treasures into the mix of my little nid. Do you feel that way sometimes? The need to be around your things? It’s a weird feeling, isn’t it? Human’s ability to accumulate things and be so attached to them.

You can find some more pictures of Louis and I’s doll house here. I just love changing around trinkets and things to give a new spin to the eye every now and again. Some would call me crazy.

oui! could not agree more about the things surrounding you in a home! i am actually house hunting right now and have been pinning up a storm. my god, so much inspiration everywhere! my style is scandi-modern with quirky and colorful touches to brighten up all that rustic wood and white. i am sort of a minimalist by nature (clutter gives me a bit of the jitters) but there is something so amazing about coming home to small treasures and memories that you have carefully selected right?

oh those boots she has on are incredible! p.s. where did you get that amazing calendar? i am in lust with it!

    Hi Meg!
I know exactly what you’re talking about! There are those times when you think to yourself, this is not where I belong. You just get that kind of longing for your stuff. Maybe that’s why snails carry their houses with them…! And now that I get the chance, I just wanted to tell you how much I admire your photographing skills! Your a natural (or you have got LOADS of experience)! Your blog is very inspiring. ♥

Hey Meg – I totally know what you mean – but I’m having such trouble just letting myself do that as an expat in Paris! It’s so hard to commit – even after 8 years here! So I just don’t buy the things I love. It know, I’m crazy. I miss my stuff and the inspiration that certain things bring. I hope that 2013 will allow me to just BE here (fully), and bring out the things that make me feel most at home. Love the clock!! bises
