We have been in Bali for about 24 hours and we’ve experienced just about every kind of weather the tropics has to offer! I love it here! We had the opportunity to soak up the sun all day yesterday and today it’s been raining non-stop since about 7am (by the way I’m not sure how they drain all this water, where does it go?! There are at least 3 inches of water on the ground everywhere at the moment… splish splash! The balinese people still ride their little motorbikes on the itty bitty streets!) Regardless, it’s super lovely.

The skies are gray today, yet the greens of the trees are vibrant as ever.

Tomorrow we will tour the island a bit, stopping by places in and around Ubud. I am beyond pumped. Have you been to Bali?

Kicking off 2012 with a father-daughter trip to Asia is simply perfect.
