One of the gems of Normandy: Rouen.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Have you been to Normandy? Rouen is the biggest city in Normandy (still quite small, however…). It sits on the water just like our beloved Paris. It’s got some charm, and delicious eats. It’s only an hour and a half northwest of Paris by train, and you arrive a 5 minute walk from the city-center, so it’s perfect for a day trip! Rouen is also the home of the cathedral that Monet painted over and over and over. I highly suggest the Joan of Arc museum at the Place du Vieux Marche. Rouen is fantastic.

Today the Christmas market opens in Paris and all of the glimmering lights will light up the night fog. The Roue de Paris is up and ready to be a’turnin’! It’s such a wonderful time of year. I can’t wait to hunt down some tartiflette to snack on while sipping some warm fruity wine.

Any big plans this weekend? I’ve got a few things up my sleeve.

Have a wonderful autumn weekend.

Beaujolais is here! Fleurishing will tell you all about it.

Carams was also in Rouen, and got some beautiful pictures of the town. And ode to colombage!

This packaging for Shokoladnica is just precious, and logical, nay?
