Cupcake Camp II was on Sunday. I think I lost count of how many cupackes I consumed. It was certainly a lovely event to throw together to gather all cupcake lovers across the arrondissements of Paris (official Cupcake Lovers in Paris right here). The event definitely was a success, all proceeds were donated to Make A Wish Foundation France! You can read about the final notes right here. It was such a nice afternoon *cough un très beau temps*, and quite an amazing venue, Le Comptoir Générale, in the 10th. P.S. Marie behind Off We Bio won the prize “Best Fall Inspired” for her Apple, Nut & Maple Syrup Bio Cupcakes (see above) DELISH, and cheers for it being such a small small world.
Special thanks to Bryan, Nicolette and Cat for setting up this Sunday filled with delicious perfection!
You can check out more photos from Cupcake Camp on their Flickr. If you went, add yours!
And for side notes:
Have you seen these amazing photos by Andrew B. Myers? (via Design Work Life) I am totally obsessed with the Twister one. Talk about great colors.
I’m also drooling over these boots from Topshop.
Where are you shopping for your coats this season? I’ve seen some great ones at Urban Outfitters & Anthropologie.
Some fun facts about France right here by Lindsey (also the mastermind behind cookie cupcakes above via Lola’s Cookies).
The October summer only lasted through the weekend, now the gray skies are telling me that October is actually here.
Cheers to autumn! (…..and cupcakes)

Those are some of the most beautiful cupcakes I have ever seen! And Madewell has a great selection of winter jackets – I just received the Promenade coat and cannot wait for the chilly weather to move into Denver.
I love Madewell. Going to their site NOW. :)
Oh my that was a beautiful day. I wanna go back to that book store too! I got so inspired after buying that book. I spent my afternoon yesterday at Kooka Boora reading it and making 8374897 notes, felt so great! We MUST go there soon btw.
PS: I ate my last cupcake for breakfast, definitely made my day.
I’m in for Kooka Boora any day.
Thanks so much for this lovely post with all the bright, beautiful cupcake pics. And thanks to you and your crew for coming out. I lots count of how many cupcakes you all bought but clearly you were some of the biggest cupcake lovers in the room! xo

Cat / SugarDaze, one of the organisers of Cupcake Camp Paris (yes, I believe there are other such camps elsewhere!) is a friend, and it was a joy to see someone I know mentioned in a Freshly Pressed post. She makes the most fabulous cupcakes in the world – but all of these look pretty delicious…
She does! I adore her cupcakes! Small world :)
That is AMAZING!! Makes me crave a cupcake for breakfast, lunch and dinner! xxx
Mornings are better when waking up with a beautiful cupcake in a hand! Loved your blog! great job! i’m new here in wordpress and i have become kind of addicted!! haha

Such beautiful cupcakes. Do you mind if I do a painting off one of the photos?
mmmm cake… I love cupcakes, and the photography in this entry was fantastic. I really should learn a bit more about taking good pictures of food!
Give me them NOW! I have a friend who makes excellent cupcakes however she’s back in the states and I’m in Germany where I see more Tortes and Cakes rather than cupcakes. I would LOVE to have one of those right about now!! :-)

What a brilliant idea and thanks for sharing it through such gorgeous pictures. I loved reading about what you got up to at the Cupcake Camp and I was drooling over those cupcakes.
Great cupcake art shown here, YUMMY! :)
Colors in cupcakes, I love it! Never really thought about all those bright colors before…what an interesting way to look at colors lol.
Autumn + cupcakes–sign me up!
There’s a Cupcake Camp? That’s the best thing I’ve heard so far today!
All of those look amazing!

These are exciting photos — I mean who doesn’t like a cupcake. But they all seem hazy somehow. Almost dirty. You might want to consider adding contrast to them when you edit your photos. Bringing up the black at the bottom a bit and bringing down the top ends of each color spectrum so that there are some actual highlights in the pictures. They will come out looking cleaner and more vibrant instead of looking a bit like dusty old slides. And food especially looks better with crisper contrast.
Loved your blog. Currently in college and my professor said we had to leave a blog comment about any blog. I chose yours, hope you don’t mind! I like photography and baking so two intrest in one. Love the pictures. I want a cup cake now!! Thanks. Sara :)
I’m honored! Thanks, Sara!
I love the quality of these photos – they have a vintage kind of feel, and these cupcakes look so yummy!
this is the loveliest camp i’ve ever heard! hehe
nice photos here ;))
I’m not sure which is better the cupcakes or the pictures of the cupcakes! Great work… I am envious.
AMAZING cupcakes! I’ve got to make 135 for my sister’s wedding next year. *Ohh the pressure. Wonderful inspiration thank you!
congratulations and great photos! i wonder if Cupcake Camp existed when i lived in Paris briefly? if so i definitely missed out! you have a new fan- keep up the good work : )
Not a cake fan (pie is my thing), but those all looked so beautiful! Passed the link on to a friend who also has a cupcake blog!
I looooove the photos, they are so sweet (and show how sweet the cupcakes will probably be!). And I also like how you edited your pics! :)
congrats on being “freshly pressed”! Those cupcakes look amazing!
cutest. cupcakes. ever. my mouth is watering!
That looks sooo fun! and yummy =D
Looks delicious, fashionable, and fun!
Cupcake camp sounds like heaven! Those photos are amazing!
very pretty cupcakes you’ve got there! The colors and ultimately, the design is so appealing to the eye. Kudos!
As my sister said when she lent me the link to this post “This sounds like the kind of camp I’d want to attend.” I agree, what fab photos, and it looks like you guys had a great time!

Beautiful!
Cupcake camp? Seriously?! I need to be enrolled ASAP! The pictures are beautiful. =)
Congrats on being freshly pressed!
I hope i’m there someday!
Thank you so much! I have no idea how that happened!
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECIPES FOR THESE CUPCAKES. THE DECORATIONS ARE GREAT TOO.
Unfortunately I don’t – they were made by tons of different shops and people- all together in one space to raise money for Make a Wish. Everyone has their own spice up for cupcakes. I did put a few links to come other sites which may have recipes.
Wonderful site! Thank you so much. I was just with my 93-year-old mother in southeast Kansas. We had celebration cupcakes, just the two of us, and just typical grocery store bakery cupcakes. I spruced them up with things from her assisted living apartment: toothpicks holding an earring, crayons like candles, and arranged them on colorful leaves from the lawn.
It didn’t matter except to me–Mom can’t really see–but she loved eating cupcakes, licking the icing off her fingers, and laughing together. And that’s the true beauty of cupcakes.
Colours, decorations and cupcakes, oh my! They look so pretty and cute but too cute to eat :)
I love your photos!! Congrats!!
these cupcakes look so amazing! I need to go buy some for myself now….
makes me hungry!
love it! great work :D
I don’t even think I could eat them. Too pretty.
Beautiful! Pity I wasn’t there… But it is good (for the cupcakes) that I was not there! :D
It’s a good thing they don’t have Cupcake Camp in the United States or I’d weigh ten thousand pounds! It looks like a lot of delicious, mouthwatering fun. And for such a great cause, too. Now I think I’m going to have to run out to my kitchen and see what I have on hand to make something yummy! :)
These are some of the beautiful gorgeous cupcakes I’ve ever seen in my life! I had no idea cupcakes had such a big following in Paris…I thought it was all about the macarons :). I remember when I was in Germany, the only place that sold cupcakes was inside a McDonalds in the Deutsche Bahn :)
sounds like a great event. wished there was cupcake camp here!
