Although this can be considered a tourist trap, I still find it to be a charming little French brasserie! The famous cafe of Amelie Poulain located in the bashful neighborhood borderline from Pigalle up to the lovely Montmartre. With a fantastic brunch, snacks, or even just cleverly named cocktails depending on your mood, it’s the perfect place to stop in and people watch with great company. One thing I always admire while in this cafe is the lighting— exactly set as if Jean-Pierre Jeunet was on set to film Amelie. Coincidence? The precious pink seats filled with passerbys will always keep your people watching at it’s highest perk. And of course, a creme brulee is a must-have with your colorful and clever cocktail. This is just a typical brasserie, but with an extra charm Montmartois, shall we say. Their daily happy hour leaves cocktails at 3,90euros- with also selections of beer on tap, or kirs.
